The Fullerton Women’s Leadership Forum will be holding its 12th Anniversary event honoring local community leaders on Thursday, November 17 starting at 5 p.m.  This FREE event is hosted by Fullerton Mayor Jennifer Fitzgerald, Fullerton Mayor Pro Tem Jan Flory, and The Woman’s Club of Fullerton.

The FREE event will be held at the Fullerton Community Center in the Grand Hall. Beginning at 5 p.m., attendees will enjoy “Charitypalooza”. Attendees will be able to meet, greet, and/or donate to the non-profit charity organizations that help make our community a great place live, work, and play.

“This year’s event will be remarkable. The women selected as honorees are some of the best role models you will find in our city. Together, they demonstrate how women leaders are making a difference in so many aspects of our lives and including Public Safety, Community Involvement, Education, Health Care and Small Business Entrepreneurship. I hope everyone will come out to support these women and their accomplishments”, says Fullerton Mayor Jennifer Fitzgerald.

The Fullerton Women’s Leadership Forum will honor local leaders, including Kathy Schaefer-Division Chief of Administration, Fullerton & Brea Fire Departments for Leadership in Public Safety, Laura Macias-Executive Director, JOYA Scholars for Leadership in Non-Profit/Community Support, Janny Meyer-Board Trustee, Fullerton School District, for Leadership in Education, and Karen Cannizzaro-Vice President of Facilities, St. Jude Medical Center, for Leadership in Healthcare. This year’s RISING STAR award for Leadership in Small Business/Entrepreneurship will be presented to Glynnes Pruett-Owner, Comic Book Hideout.
